The Vampires come out at Night

So, as decided by the 10 year old (see below), we were vampires for Halloween! Crystal found some awesome capes and we bought the makeup and hair stuff together. The night was awesome! We drove up with our good friends, Brett and Tahnee, to Rodizio Grill in SLC. All of the waiters were dressed up too. One was Ceasar, one was a werewolf in a basketball jersey, and other interesting costumes. After that, and on a very full stomach, we went to Castle of Chaos AND Nightmare Mansion, both in the Salt Lake City area.

We were almost as dressed up as some of the actors in the haunted houses, so they kept saying, "oh, Count Dracula has returned," and other little comments. However, one called us frauds for not having our teeth (they were just so dang uncomfortable!). Castle of Chaos was by far the best haunt of the two. If you ever get the chance to go, do it. You won't be disappointed.

Updates and pictures

We have our halloween customes decided by a ten year old. So here's the story: We went on a double date with friends to go miniture golfing. Afterwards a ten or eleven year old girl came up to us nervously ( I was expecting her to ask to use the phone or something) and I quote said this: "Um I just wanted to tell you, that you guys look like vampires, and that's really really cool." I said thnaks to keep from laughing and we left. But seriously???? the pictures below show what we were wearing.... not very vampiresque, but I guess that means we are very cool my middle school standards. Seriously, and first I thought, oh crap I'm scaring small children, but then I realized she meant it as a compliment!! haha so fun!

Us trying to look as vampire-ish as we could.

Picture of our new place: (this should be the FINAL move in Provo, ut, we like it that much :))

our closet office (my second favorite thing to closet under the stairs that you can lock little children in)

the kitchen cabinets are so big that we can actually use the bookshelves for books!!

we have stairs!!!

btw, Scott put the picture of Jesus up in the bathroom not me....

the upstairs bedroom is so big!!!

also included are two utility closets, a linen closet and a covered parking space :)

So not completely done, but we are closer to being completely moved in than we have in any other place.
also there is a dirt patch outside the front door that looks supeciously like a good garden spot!
On the next blog: christmas in september and pictures of our matching babies :)

Gradumatation

Graduating from college is a lot bigger todo then high school.

You finish your internship and you think finally! You go to your last class and you think, I'm done. Then you take your last final and think I'm done. Then you go to the first ceremony and are really excited. and THEN you go to the second ceremony and really graduate. But your not quite done yet, you have to wait up to four weeks for your degree to be posted and recieve it in the mail. That's when you can truely celebrate. Let's put it this way, I'm glad econ 110 was not in my last semester of classes :)

kudos to Jenni and the Rich's for being my serrgete family on day one of the ceremonies. And to Hannah for the pretty flowers :)
now if only I could find a job............

moving on up

WE GOT THE APARTMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yay! we get to move out of our basement hell hole (ok that is an exageration) and move into a cute two story 2 bed 2 bath condo! The land lord already is awesome and I'm so excited!! the basement actually isn't bad at all, its quite nice, but we just have too much stuff and we can't fit it all in and so we can't really unpack everything. So we can't wait!! plus I won't be in school so I can unpack and organize and decorate, yay!!!

second item of business...... I am graduating!!!! right now it looks bleak but I am determined to get that paper in, so I bought all the neccessary paraphanila and I am ready!

I tried to by my tassel at the bookstore..... man was that an adventure! FIrst we couldn't find it, then we thought we did but it said it was citron, what the heck is citron?!?!?! we got that it was yellow green or orange. Turns out it wasn't citron at all (thats the masters) but yellow gold. phew!! but I now feel connected to that bookstore clerk in which we spent like 20 min together.

So i looked up citron for your knowledge and on kohler this is what it says....

A yellow-green, almost translucent color, Citron imparts a retro look. Hand-excavated from volcanic flows in central France, the distinctive originality of lavastone is captured in its natural color variations and subtly crazed surface. and the picture to show the color:

Because that is so yellow green and not entirely confusing. I think there is a green bottle next to the sink that is citron, but not sure. so the search began again.

There is an entire company called citron paint, yet they do not carry the color citron. again seraching....

finally, I get some citron education, from azune strangely enough

someone on the site described it as a citrus yellow. I think thats pretty acurate.

Also, there are other zune colors for your enjoyment. After we move I will post pictures!!
Toodles
This color is as citrony as blogspot gets!

Why being married is so much more fun than being single

this just might be my favorite texting conversation to date.
me: why does t he house stink?
scott: I made a tuna fish sandwhich :)
me: do we even own tuna fish you know I dont buy it
scott: I bought it today
me: you are disgusting but I'm eating all the pickles you bought as punishment for stinking up the house Love you!

I was then told in so many words when scott got home that the pickles were in slices and therefore good and only for sandwhichs. I asked if this was him telling me to back off, he said yes. I knew I should have bought another big jar of pickles at Costco.

Marathon in a month (and a half...)

So myself, Scott, and Dani Richards, have decided to take on the task of the Provo Canyon Marathon. .....On Sept. 12th.... which means, we'll be busy running! It seems like a good first marathon because it is all downhill, and worst case senerio we can always walk it. Our goal is below 4:30:00 so we'll see. Also its only $40 which is super cheap for a marathon. So here we go!
